We are
located on outer Cape Cod, approximately 90 miles
southeast of Boston. Known as the "Gateway to the
National Seashore", Eastham is still considered a small
town (pop. 4980) and prides itself on being a bit more
quiet than most Cape towns. The New York Times called
Eastham "Cape Cod's Little Secret". Explore our site to
learn more about our town and get a sense for the many
things to do, the options for lodging, restaurants,
shops and galleries. After learning more, you will
understand why Henry David Thoreau and Henry Beston
spent so much time exploring and writing about the outer
Cape & Eastham.

Welcome to
the Cape that Thoreau described. Truro hasn't changed
much since he took his famous walk from Pilgrim Lake
(old East Harbour) to Pamet Harbor (birthplace of the
American Whaling Industry). Truro is home to bike paths,
nature trails, ten public beaches (on both the bay and
the ocean), the Cape's oldest golf course, Highland Golf
Links, and one of the few remaining lighthouses, Cape
Cod Light (formerly Highland Light), erected in 1857,
still operating and open to the public. When you combine
the natural attractions with first class accommodations
and fine restaurants, you have an excellent summer
vacation spot and a surprisingly friendly and inviting
year-round get away place. The Chamber of Commerce
Information Booth is only open in the summer, but our
town and our arms are open 12 months of the year.

throughout the year to enjoy the flavors of each season.
Autumn, the most beautiful season, is becoming a
favorite for visits to Wellfleet. The Outer Cape offers

beach picnics, bike riding, bird watching, whale
watches, seal and wildlife sighting. Come and
enjoy the surfside activities of picnicking, swimming,
beachcombing and surfing along the miles of unspoiled
beaches. Head to the harbor for the fun of boating &
fishing, windsurfing and square dancing at the pier.
Make a day of golfing, tennis, biking, trail hiking or
bird watching. Browse and shop the excellent art and
antique galleries, bookshops, gift and clothing
boutiques. Enjoy a movie or stage production. Savor the
local offerings at the many fun and fine restaurants
about town. Catch a sunrise at the ocean and sunset at
the bay in the same day!.

Three villages
make up the 17 square mile town of Yarmouth Cape Cod:
West Yarmouth, Yarmouthport, and South Yarmouth. Each
village has a distinctive character formed by over 350
years of history. A community shaped by its seaside
heritage, Yarmouth has retained much of historic charm
while integrating the present, into its surroundings. To
gain a true perspective of our town you must stray from
the major roadways of Route 6 and 28 that traverse from
Hyannis to the West and Dennis to the East. Yarmouth is
the second oldest town on Cape Cod, and it is filled
with historic charm.
